kinell
I was surprised to read about James Lampkin and Ben Hemmingway on the front page as they swap jobs and bikes for 2005! As most folk will remember, Ben said that his WR ride at Moutier, Switzerland would be his last attempt. Changing bikes in favour of the new Montesa 4rt and minding for Dougie - does this mean he is putting his trials career on hold (temporarily)? He's obviously a very talented rider himself which makes him an ideal candidate for the job. Obviously James does a very good job with Dougie but maybe he's thinking about his own career now and wants to see how far he can progress. Maybe James will now concentrate on Euro/World rounds himself without having to worry about keeping DL at the top... Any thoughts?
city trials
You read my mind, this is really going to be exciting to see if Ben can help put Dougie back on top, and how well James will do.
the artist formerly known as ish
Or maybe James just wants to look after the new home, wife, mates, Glamorous touring the world with a champion like Doug, but after a while that gets old and less appealing. cota kid
I'm sure Ben will continue in the tradition Martin and James in being the best minder to the best rider. Jame's world experience will also be of great benefit to the up and coming UK Beta riders.
nigel dabster
That makes a bit of sense if he has a ttt deal to mind for Dabill.
telecat
Have a feeling that James has wanted to "have a go" at the top trials for a while so this would make sense. Maybe Sandifords have not allowed James to enter the top class and switching allows him to do it. Don't think there's any tie up with James. I was talking to him a week or so ago and there was no mention of it. If it did happen it would be only in the UK.
