rock hopper
Have heard from some old timers That they took the swing arm from the 348 and switch it with a 349 swing arm suppose to make bike handle better by making wheel base from 51.5 to 53.2.Has anyone tryed this or think it would be worth it.Have heard that the 348 had a light front end and this was suppose to help???? feetupfun
The first M51 Cota 349 usually identified by having a red plastic tank had a swingarm which was longer than the preceeding model M51 Cota (the last 348). The white tanked 349 (model following the red 349) has a swingarm which is the same length as the 348. The 348 does not have a problem with handling or a light front end. It is absolutely brilliant stock standard compared with other bikes of the late 1970s.
