richty250e
Hi Squid, A torque wrench is essential for 'critical' fasteners like head nuts, flywheel nuts, clutch hub nuts etc. A digital torque wrench will convert the settings for you. Have a look at this as an example of whats out there: http://www.toolstop.co.uk/index.php?option...utm_medium=base
pete_scorpa3
Always use one, but mine has ft/lb and Nm Same here. Crucial for small bolts into cast alloy inside engines etc

andy.t
Just to be different I will say a torque wrench is not essential for tightening up your nuts/bolts, its good to have one, but its sometimes better to just nip them up by feel, if you know what your doing. I have in the past stripped a thread using a torque wrench that was set to the correct pressure.
squid
Hello AndyT. Nippin them up, is that a not too much not too little feely sorta thing. Iam not heavy handed, but, you must of gathered from my previous mails Iam greatly lacking in mechanical knowledge. Cheer's Andy for your reply and hope you got some grins out in the mud over the weekend. Squid.
