2007 Beta Rev 3 250 Kill Switch Fitting

Hi, I'm new to the world of trials and have just bought a 2007 Beta Rev 3 250. The previous owner had for some reason removed all the switches and headlight. I have bought a universal kill switch and wanted to check which wires to connect it to. There is one connector with two wires (1 x black, 1 x white) another connector with four wires (1 x white with black stripe, 1 x blue, 1 x white with blue stripe, 1 x black) and two separate wires (1 x blue, 1 x black). I presume the original kill switch would just plug into one of these connectors but as I do not have one I was wondering if someone could tell me which wires the kill switch should be connected too. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Because I had an issue with the wiring on my 2008 I traced it out. I believe your wiring will be the same. The black and white wire is the kill switch hot. The black wire in the same 4 pin connector is the kill switch ground. I highly recommend running a seperate ground wire back to a hard ground on the chassis like the ignition coil mounting screws or the bolt the regulator mounts to.

Many thanks for all your replies, as said and as I can now see in the manual the black and white/black wires in the 4 wire harness are the ones to connect to. I will try later and report back.

Thanks again for your help

Careful, if yours was wired like mine then that thicker loose black wire should be tied to ground as it provides the ground for all the other black wires. Look at the frame end of the harness that goes up to the bars. There you will find stuffed up in the tubing a five way splice of black wires with one thicker then the rest. On mine the thicker wire went to a lug behind the headlight. From the photo on yours it looks like it was just cut. Consider it an opportunity. Pull it out of the bottom of the harness and tie it to a hard ground on the chassis.
