Oil Ratio

Hi

Just got into trials , got a 250 07 sherco need help on the correct amount of oil / petrol mix required, been told between 70ml - 80ml per 5 lts of fuel, does this sound correct, or what would you guys recomend and also fully or semi, again recomendations would be apreciated, been a long time sinse i had two strokes.

80:1 ratio of full synthetic, which should be 62.5 ml per 5L. :thumbup:

Thanks for that ,realise after looking through the forum its been asked more than once, just surprised how many different answers there are on looking.

We have run 80:1 in the bikes for a decade now, and including Pro level top riders, and without issue. Fact is that those that just simply putt putt about most the time can easily run as high as 100:1 ratio.

A lot of oil accumulates in the motors and exhaust and you still need to take them out for a good hard run in high gear or do a couple good hillclimbs to really get things flowing and some heat in the muff. May smoke like crazy if it is loaded up, but keeps things cleaned out this way. A clogged muff on a Sherco is an expensive replacement! :thumbup:
