Bar Positioning ...

Recommended Posts

While out tonight I noticed my bars were leaning forward and was putting a lot of weight on my wrists, so got home and straightened them to what looked like a normal position, however it didn't feel right at all, so, is there a proper position they should be or is it all just feel and what feels best ???

I will tell you a general mark, as it seems you have no bike listed in your profile nor your weherabouts.

Put the things such as the riser sections on the bars are verticle as you are looking down when riding position, or forward of that, yet not rear of that.

The further forward you can stand, the better, as it gives you more room on the bike and better leverage to push the front and move the rear.

If this is not what you are accustomed to, you will get used to it!

ps- Tighten the crap out the bolts(evenly) so things do not suddenly shift on you on a downhill!
