rorshach
I have struggled for years doing technical enduros on an enduro bike (I am too short and too small). Tried one on a Montesa 4rt and fell in love. The problem with the Montesa extra fuel tank is that it's not a tank - it's a reservoir. So, yes, you have all this extra fuel on the bike, plus a little seat, but the only way to get it into your tank where it's needed is to take the seat off (two allen bolts) and pour it in. Then I saw this for the beta 4t: http://www.betamotor.com/en/trial/parts/ki...atoio-evo-2t-4t Does anybody know if it suffers from the same design consideration, or does it feed directly into the fuel tank? On a related note, is a Beta 4t a suitable choice of a longer-range weapon for tight enduros? I was very taken with the Scorpa SY250F, but you can't get them for love or money. Many thanks for the help.
mcharchuk
I use the beta long-range seat/tank on my 2008 Rev3 and ride it in some of the tight enduro events we have on Vancouver Island. I'm out of shape, way to heavy and am faster on the Beta than my KTM200SX on the trails around here. It adds 4l additional fuel, I've also added a 1l hebo tank for about 8l total. The seat is comfy but very low so not great for extended periods. The fuel flows into the original fuel line with a 'T' connector so you have to use both fuel petcocks. Here is a picture of the connection - http://charchuk.com/BetaTank/files/page0-1001-full.html Here is a picture after an event last fall http://ebizviewer.com/SANY0004.JPG Edited June 1, 2010 by mcharchuk
