scotty97
Took my 2007 sherco 290 out for a hour or two lastnite and when washing all the dirt off i notice that i have a fair bit of oil coming from behind the front sprocket, seems like its coming from the sproket shaft seal. I priced a new seal and they are less than two pound, typical in it. Has anyone else had this seal go, and can you change it from the outside????? I changed one on a yzf426 by digging the old one out and sliding the new one on with a socket, but am unsure with a sherco as i've never attempted it. copemech
Should be a quick enough job as you stated. Nothing special there, yet I have not had to change one.
wesyde
Just changed one on my wife's '04 125, simple job just as you stated on your YZF. Couldn't figure the cause, but have had no problems since replacement.
