From the tank the fuel goes through the fuel pump which is fitted underneath the fuel tank. This has a very fine filter system on it as the pump can soon damage if any c**p gets in there so the fuel leaving the pump to go to the ECU is very clean Hence there is no reason to put an in-line filter on the 4RT, just make sure it is clean going in the top of the fuel tank.
