zippy Posted January 8, 2011 Report Share Posted January 8, 2011 This carb has been cleaned very often due to thinking that is why it ran improperly, but it was actually the crank seals had failed. tyjf Posted January 9, 2013 Report Share Posted January 9, 2013 Stick with it go over carb again making sure you aint missed owt! failing that you can get a new carb as these little ty80 carbs can wear slide then their a pig to get to idle right. i have just restored one it cost a small fortune new carb slide jets foat valve still was a tw.t to get to run right in the end bought new carb.runs sweet now! Where did you get your carb from? The slide on my TY80 is quite badly worn and from what I have been told the only carbs I could get now are mikuni. Any information greatly appreciated.
