littleoneben
Hi all. I have just bought 2 sets of soft Renthall grips, 1 for the 12.5 and 1 for the 16. As a relative novice to this, what is the best way of removing the old standard grips? The main one that I am confused about is the throttle grip. Many thanks
stork955
Gday, if you have a compressor, blow air under the grip. Too easy. Otherwise cut the old ones off. Cheers, Stork

hrcmonty
Roll them off, then you can keep them in your tool box as a pair of emergency ones. Unless they are totally knackered, then yeah cut them off. When your putting the new ones back on, make sure you have the grip with the bigger diameter on the throttle side. Spray a load of Brake cleaner down them, quickly shake out the excess, and whack them on nice and quick. They will just slide on. Once brake cleaners evaporated in about 10 seconds, they'll be nice and tight. Edited June 30, 2010 by hrc_monty
pete_scorpa3
I looked at fitting some new Renthal grips that I have in stock for my Scorpa, but they are far to big, are you using smaller diameter ones?
