Well John, from a german Computer the Links are working. :crying: As Lee said,it is a great bike for a fair price(no,I'am not the seller)I saw them competing in the german championship when i was a young lad of 18 and riding a 200 Fantic at that time.

Looks (very) vaguely like an early version of the Russian bikes sold in Britain about the same time - the RTX. I think I only ever saw three but the power band was not ideal for a trials bike as far as I could tell from the sound. I would guess that spares would be about as hard to get as titanium gearbox internals for a Hiro engined Armstrong.

But there is something KTM-ish about the motor.

@2/4,i think you are a bit wrong in the time, the Panda's came out late 70's early 80's and the RTX,that was in the 90's.The engine of the Panda is a Franco Morini engine wih a modified Sachs Cylinder and head. When they first came out the had a Dellorto carb, but the Bing carb suits the Sachs Barrel better,so the swaped to Bing.Everything eles is standart italian trials stuff from that time.Akront,Marzocchi,etc.

Hey Bilco,no to baad, the west german importer of Centromoto Panda was in a village called Bad Sooden-Allendorf next to the russian sector(east germany).I remember 1985 when they had a round for the german championship in this village and hey we could see the big fences and walls from the paddock and all this east german soldiers with their machinguns on the big towers. The paddock was on the market place. It was a bit scary to see all this and i was happy to be on the right side of the fence.

A Fascinating piece of history Mike.

Those on the wrong side of the wall at the time must truly know what real imprisonment and what real freedom is realy like.
