idmcc_sec
I think the Inverness club are planning to hold a trial at Cannich on the 13th. Sorry nope, it's the 20th, you'll see when you get your calendar next week. D
bwolfe
Check out www.xboost.co.uk they have private land to ride, bikes to rent, the lot. Take your kit and licence ad you should be good to go. They are 13 miles outside Edinburgh XBoost disappointed me. I contacted them re going out and doing a free feature on them and the services on offer. Never even bothered to reply. Same thing happened to me. Sent email, no reply. .. Andy, send me a PM with some contact info (i sent you one the other day) -- Regards, Bentley Wolfe Senior Support Engineer, Macromedia Senior Escalation Engineer, Flash Webmaster: http://www.wisconsintrials.org http://www.madisonmotorcycleclub.org http://www.megamousa.com

Sorry nope, it's the 20th, you'll see when you get your calendar next week. D Too bad that didn't work out.. At this point I think I'm not even going to bring my gear. I'll just go to the scottish show on saturday and then on Sunday do something touristy (highlands? suggestions?) and do some gift shopping for the family.. My scottish peers have my schedule for those two days listed as "drinking and bikes". And at some point meet Andy. That's got to happen... -- Regards, Bentley Wolfe Senior Support Engineer, Macromedia Senior Escalation Engineer, Flash Webmaster: http://www.wisconsintrials.org http://www.madisonmotorcycleclub.org http://www.megamousa.com
kinell
And at some point meet Andy. That's got to happen... To minimise the risk of long term mental scarring, please ensure that you are as p****d as possible first though...

bwolfe
Well, here I am in Edinburgh. Cold, gray and rainy (as expected!). Perfect trials weather. Still haven't decided what to do for the weekend. Too many options. If I stay in Edinbinburgh then I see the trial is still on for the 13th so I may drop in there for a visit, take some pics.. I'd hate to come all this way and not meet Andy. But circumstances might prevent that from happening. We'll see eh? Bbbent

I'm heading up to Aberdeen this afternoon and will be there till Saturday. Could hook up Sunday if you want?
Andy
Perce mentioned to me about the Trial on down in Lauder this weekend. Bent, could pick you up and take a run down there if you fancy it. It's not far and I've not been out with the camera for a while.

Andy
Mr Wolfe appears to have disappeared off the face of the planet! The hotel he told me he was in says he ain't there and I've left three voicemails on his "cellphone" today. Abducted by aliens?

overthehill
I think 3 of us are heading up there this weekend, question is though will it be worth 6 hours in the van? It is a good little trial but whether it is worth 6 hours in a van is debatable, I would say that if there was one nearer go there, the big problem we have is getting observers (we only have about 10 members in our club) so we have to restrict the number of sections we have and make some doubles. should be about 15 sections though, 3 laps of 2 to 3 miles. open moorland with scree, bankings, hillclimb, waterfalls. 'A''route is laid out for good clubmen with no silly stuff. usually won on about
boofont
the big problem we have is getting observers I believe there's a Mr BWolfe kicking about somewhere, maybe he can help? Rumour has it he's missing in action!
bwolfe
Yes, he's finally crawled out of the pub and appears to be very much alive (though someone hopefully not from the trials community was ringing my phone at 6:30 am Saturday morning, this morning.... that was unpleasant...) Switched hotels to Channings. Cannot recommend the Caledonian hilton under any circumstance. Saved myself $1000 US by switching (and that's a lot of pints...) So the first three days of the week were solid work. Thursday night we had to have a proper visit to the pub, and last night to the Malt Whisky Society. Sending a message to Andy just now to discuss visiting the trial tomorrow. That means I'll need to go to the moto show today (I was primarily going hoping to find a belstaff trialsmaster coat... ). Of course, my mobile is useless here. Need to discuss that with my employer (it's their phone). That's very inconvenient... So, off to the high street to shop for the kiddies, then to the bus to the motorcycle show to see what that's about. No pub today! Hopefully Andy can connect with me (i his his number now) and we'll show up a the trial tomorrow.. Bentley
Andy
For those following this with great interest (sarcasm!) I tracked him down and we'll be at Lauder tomorow.
