dalmahoy
At a local trial on Saturday. One of the sections was a graded hill climb. I'm new to the sport but my understanding on hill climbs was that where you first dab - thats the score. Some folk were basically paddling the thing to the finish and claiming a clear. I questioned them on this was was told its were the bike stops - not where you dab. Any advice or thoughts on this? Cheers
john.b
You get the score of the board that you passed last before you either stop or get through the section. If you get through then you get a 0 even if you put your feet down 50 times. Putting feet down is irrelevant on this type of section. dabtastic
Correct so for example if you get passed the 2 board before stopping before the 1 board then your score would be a 2 even if you paddled up like a centipede.
dalmahoy
Cheers for that info - looks like I managed to make a t1t of things again. On both laps - as soon as I dabbed - I thought thats it and left the test.

Aye, I think you should just retire now, it'll give me a chance to get further up the leader broad

pete_scorpa3
When I use a graded climb, I always but a board at the begins cards which says: "Footing allowed. Score is taken when front wheel stops moving."
