boni_tou_1
Normal stuff like exessive engine noise, water in tranmission fluid, wheel bearing head stock bearings depending on the year check for damage on the radiator and casing, ( on the newer model 2007 to 2010) put bike on a track stand so both wheels are off the ground, now lift up the back wheel there should be no play in the linkage if th re is more than 2 inch you may have to replace any number of the many bushs etc in the linkage but not a big problem. water leaking through water pump casing I understand is any issue with the pre pro years. I have just brought a 04 250 pro and it is a fantastic bike. Im sure there is more knowledge in the forum but this is what I was told to look for

richt
My mate aquired a nice 07 pro for a good price off the pistonheads site. after looking at so many paggered older bikes it was worth paying a couple of hundred more for one that needed nothing doing to it! Dont get me wrong there may be a something like an 04 thats had loads spent on but will likely sell word of mouth. My old bike sold the same day on Macctrials website. Try asking around some clubs or go to a trial. good luck.
