Sacu Centre Of Excellence?

All the money that clubs pay to the sacu in a year. What does it get used for ?. In 2001 the sacu was asked about a training plan for youths in Scotland , their reply was that some thing was getting done, but it is now 2005 and has any thing been done?. If so it must a secret. :angry:

Training

Our local scrambles club has for the last several years had a 'training day' for all the schoolboys in the club. This was organised by one of the top club Enduro riders. He organised several high standard riders who were very clued up technically to freely give up their time to help with the training. The advantage of this method was it was all riders the schoolboys could look up to and relate to and it was not as if they were back at school.

Without fail all the schoolboys claimed it helped their riding & it was clear that their riding had improved to all the observers. there was little or no charge for this training day (possibly a

Exactly my point, give kids someone they can look up to and they will learn and by having a centre of excellence staffed by people who are good for the sport they will come on and just because it says Centre (singular) does not mean it has to be in one place but some where the activity can revolve around, my point in having a roadshow idea visiting different areas.
