houseape1000
You'd be better off with a Scorpa 250...Im feeling generous so I will swap you for my 03...I don't even want any cash to sweeten the deal ! Seriously though.......... Sherco 290 + beginner = trouble.

tom6n2
Seriously though.......... Sherco 290 + beginner = trouble. Not always the case ive had mine 2 months and feel comfy on the bike. Just get out and practice and see what your bike can and cant do
zippy
be gentle with the throttle and learn to love the clutch. good clutch technique will temper the throttle.
houseape1000
Can you put a stiffer spring on the slide in the carb, just so you have to intentionally wind the throttle, rather than accidentally. I would imagine it's quite un nerving to have to be very careful on the throttle, for fear of flipping the beast...could restrict progress ! johnnie_scotland
I know that some riders will cut a length off the spring in the carb just to make the throttle lighter/quicker, this may have been done to your bike, worth checking ou But dont reckon it makes that much difference, its a big
copemech
Many folk slow the ignition timing a bit to settle the bike a bit as well. You can practice sections riding up a gear. What you would normally do in first, try in second, or even third to get a feel for the clutch, as it forces you to use it and FEEL for traction as well. You and rev the hellovit and creep along on the clutch if need be! It is your golden parachute when combined with rear brake!
