Suspension Sag

Hey Tom. All trials bikes should be set to 1/3 sag with you on it. Front and back. Be mm accurate! Use a tape measure from two fixed points.

Have a friend help you get this right and use a wall for balance (don't let it influence the sag).

If you have to wind on some tension to the spring, you may have to readjust the rebound damping. The rear shock should have a damping adjustment - turn it in or out to so that the shock just takes the speed out of the return action. Soft-but-not-fast is what you are looking for. Don't forget to do the front.

REMEMBER without rebound damping you will struggle to find traction :D .

Feck they are way out. Were you on the bike with a stance as in your normal riding?

Most bikes have between 165 - 180mm rear travel. You will need to find the spec for your bike to check. But........Taking an average of 172.5 then 1/3 of this is 57mm sag.

You'll have to get a spring 'C' spanner and start winding some tension into the back spring.

Front is typically 160mm travel so you should set 53mm sag. One of the fork legs should have an adjuster on the top to tension the spring.
