bridgwaterjohn
I now have all the parts to reassemble my Cota engine, I am checking things prior to assembly and one thing I am not sure about is the kick start shaft. It appears that the assembly is as follows. The shaft is located inside the engine in a brass bush, a circlip and washer are next, and the shaft then goes through the engine casting where there is an oil seal. , the outer casing and bush are next followed by the kick start. My query is should there be a spacer after the oil seal, or if not what stop the shaft moving inwards, if this happens the cam on the kick start shaft will foul the case as is kicked over rather than correct position were the can hit the stop. Has anybody a parts drawing for a 247cc as I only have one for a 123cc that is different. Or any advise appreciated. I can forward photo, if the description above is not clear Many thanks John H
