as iow
So now we know the result from round 3 of the world indoor championship, how come Bou didn't get a ride at Sheffield. He seens to be better indoors than out doors at the moment, he should be aloud to ride in the rest of the rounds at least.

bikespace
I'm not sure, but I think this may be the best performance by any wildcard rider in the indoors. For a few years at least. Wildcard riders are always last. A minute and a half faster than any other rider too.
shercool
Why the hell should should he get a ride in the rest of the rounds ? He will get his chance to do this if he gets in the top 6 outdoors. Surely thats the idea of wildcards, that different riders get a chance of riding in an indoor, not just one person. as iow
So if you were going to pay to watch an indoor round who would you rather see, some young kid giving the stars a run for there money, or some poor local chap making an ass of himself and fiving most of the sections. I'd pay to watch a world indoor trial with only British riders!! i'd even pay for the T-Shirt and after the event i'd buy them all a drink and congratulate them for being British and entaining me and there supporters. let me put this slightly differently. Our country is S**T at most sports and when you have sportsmen/woman who are good enough to challenge the worlds best, then i'm on the side of our boys/girls. If this makes me predudice then thats fine by me. Edited January 29, 2005 by spud
as iow
So how come an English man won 7 + world championship titles on the trot, but the average man in the street don't even know his name. The rugby team win the world cup and the whole nation go'es mad. Someone has missed the chance of a lifetime to get trails the credit it deserves. Should the A.C.U. have pushed the name of D Lampkin to the media like there lives dependen on it. Then perhaps we may have had 2 weeks of world trials action, instead of Darts. philswiv
I know it's not trials but we had James toseland for World Superbike champ too. Did he get a mention? Did he hell! If you have anything to do with balls, of the round kickable/throwable/hitable type, then you're in with a chance of some recognition. Failing that just come third in some sort of running or jumping game. Now, if you're involved in a sport that requires REAL BALLS like leaping a motorcycle from objects that the average man would get dizzy just standing on or wrestling an 180bhp superbike into submission then you've no chance of being noticed. This countrys sport media is so blinkered. The only way you will get any media recognition for riding a bike in this country is to get caught speeding at some phenominal speed! Then you'll be in ALL the papers. OOOHH IT MAKES ME MAD !! Edited January 30, 2005 by PhilSwiv
shercool
I just dont see why Bou should automatically get a wildcard at them all, i say good on Taddy for getting the ride at Sheffield, at least he won something last year . I dont remember any of the British wildcards at Sheffield making an ass of themselves in the past. If Bou is as good as people are making out then he wont have any problem getting in the top 6 in the outdoor championship this year .
