Why Stop Making The 315r?

Did Caby's bike rev as cleanly as the Stock ones, if so he wouldn't have made it up the Big obstacles. :D  None of the top riders bikes are "Stock"!

Yes it did rev as clean as the stock, perhaps a little better. So he maybe had a vx plug and a set of reeds. Don't think that apart from possibly porting it looked pretty standard to me, don't think he had a Kehin on either.

Wheels frame forks tank carb rad tyres brakes bars exhaust airbox all standard, no mag forks on his.

I'd say that was more standard than works wouldnt you, never realised a sticker could make a bike go better, I must get one of those.

In case you are in any doubt as to what a sherco will do I rode 10 or so sections next to Jarvis in the lakes last year and it was him that was making it get up obstacles so where you get the idea he only needs a works bike to get up stuff I'm not sure and that bike was reving out cleanly as all Shercos will if correctly set up.

Clearly Jarvis's bike was stock, and it is well known that he often rides a stock one.

If none of the top riders bikes are stock then I must have missed the posting you made when the press report and Dougie said just that.

Haven't heard too many rev cleanly without pre-revving with the clutch in till they clean out, if porting will clear that mess up why don't the stockers do it. As to the top riders riding stock bikes, other than Sheffield, they all are riding fairly heavily modified rides!

Whatever the faults they have Sherco's are not reknowned for needing "cleaning" out here in the UK, so I find it difficult to understand where you get the info and how.

And to get back to the subject..................

Monts belived the FIM when it said : In two years time only a rider of a four stroke will be able to be called World Champion.

Apparently the other smaller factories objected & lobbied for more time.

So another two years of ring dings then.

Surely though someone as big as Honda would be able to afford to run both the fourstroke and the twostroke if only for a year or so to see how the sales went........I can just see some guys will not want a fourstroke bike and switch brands thus Montesa will lose sales.

Will be interesting to compare sales figures after say 12 months.

Are you saying the date has now been moved to 08 ?

Hmmm, all this talk of the sheffield monts being standard and all.

What about poor amos in the scott trial, what was that 4rt like?

Anyone have any know how of this was it much like the current standard bike or was there a lot of development?

As for the top riders having stock bikes, I find it hard to belive although it most certainly could be true.

Id love to know what the actual riders would say to this???
