gjbiker
Browsing this weeks MCN, mainly because somebody told me there was an article on the new Greeves and I came across THIS. Not good news at all if you ride a bike on the road (road legal trials as well). I lived in Germany for a couple of years and know only too well the grief the Germans have with TUV testing and type approval etc. We really don't want this coming to the UK............do we? lee harris
no you dont... you cant sh!t here without type approval and worst of all, there are ways around it which just cost LOTS on money Just like a lot of EU things, its an EU ruling for the sake of it. They have to make rules or they are not worthy.... is anybody looking at if the UK NEEDS such legislation. Millions of euros are spenhere for type approval which is not really needed. Just drives up the cost of lining and keeps the eu polititens employed
chewy
Not to mention all the Earwaxes (clipboards) who expedite all this crap. As Niel Kinnock once said the forces of daftness are all around us (ish).
mattylad
I think you will find the problem is not an EU one. The EU makes the rules which are transposed into member state legislation. this is why you can have different rules in different countries as it is a matter of interpretation. Blame your national politicians first and leave the EU out of it for a change. Or as they say Mutch ado about nothing (read the MCN article for the criptic joke) Edited September 24, 2010 by mattylad
