titanium
Any one know which bikes are closest to stock among the top world round riders?

spud
doug's bike was rumoured to be prity stock at sheffield, the only major difference was the suspension - what an acheivement to be competitive ah! raga's/cab bikes will no doubt resembled a F1 2-stroke for power, which will please those riders set on having old out of date machinery designed for stuck in the past riders! come oooooon the 4-strokes!!!! stuessenhigh
Last summer, when i watched a WTC round...I had a REALLY good look at the Beta (Kenichi Kuroyama)...and from the outside I couldnt see any difference at all. BUT I suppose there might be lots of different internal engine parts??
shercogeezer
Does anybody know what is actually done to the bikes?? i know different riders have different preferences of power delivery and power curves etc. But is there anything that is totally different to standard bikes??? mattylad
I own a genuine ex Jarvis Sherco. I would say most (90%) of the parts are stock or pre prototypes of next years bits. The engine is certainly more powerful but this is mainly modifying standard parts. The ignition however is special. The suspension appears stock but works differently, read much, much better so I guess the internals are rider specific.
jenkinsm
I know that in 2002 one of lampkins factory bikes was said to be worth 20k!!! Heard that Raga's Pro and lampkins new mont have titanium pistons and conrods so they rev up alot quiker and harder. Lampkins bikes dont have first gear and possibly last gear, and have titanium bolts wherever possible. Also Guess they'll be ported differently depending on what power characteristics the rider wants. Also heard that some riders have 2/3 differnt fly wheels for different conditions, suppose they'll be slightly heavier for wet and slippy conditions. chris
titanium pistons I doubt it, the piston will probably have some special coating like this http://www.polydyn.com/hpecapp.htm but I can't see them using titanium for the piston, they probably use titanium for the wrist pin, conrod and crank tho.
