myson
Hi, just finished pulling apart the clutch and fly wheel (exellent clutch holding tool came from Bult UK yesterday!)) on M80 motor. Does anyone know the correct sizes for the woodruff keys as the ones that came our were decidedly of the home made variety. Cheers
sparks2
Hi Have just replaced the crankshaft and mainshaft keys on my M80. Be careful because the proper Bultaco type are hardened and are chamfered to fit the key slot in the shafts. You may get away with a mild steel key for the magneto which has a taper drive but definately not the drive side (IMO). I had to get the mainshaft drive key from USA. Hope this helps. Kind Regards Sparks2
myson
Hi Sparks, thanks for the help. Do you have details of company in US that supplied the keys please, Regards, Colin
nh014
Keys can be obtained from Hugh's Bultaco, Craryville, NY USA (www.bultaco.com). Part number 188-001 for the ignition side and part number 188-007 for the clutch side.
sparks2
Hi Yes, I concur with nb - Hugh's Bultaco. Don't forget there are 3 sizes of key - magneto, crankshaft and gearbox mainshaft.
