Hi, all new to the forum, ive just bought a ty 250 trials bike dont now the year, but i think it needs new clutch friction plates as the bite is right at the end and sometimes its not going into gear if changing fast if you take your time it goes in fine?

Just wondering if its an easy job and the cost?

Thanks,

Very easy.

Drain the gearbox oil

remove the kickstarter from the shaft

Remove all bolts from the Clutchcase

Remove the srews from the clutchbottomplate

change the plates.

Then reverse order together

Put a new gasket between crankase and clutchcover.

hi, thanks for the replies guys, think ill have to do it soon as it is getting harder to get in gear, What oil do you suggest using nothing special tho, just tidy stuff?

Thanks,

Normal 80 or 90 gerabox oil from any brand.
