Pre Mix? Wondering...

Ok I know Premix oil preference and ratio could be just like favorite colors, in any crowd, but I really would like to know what you all think is good.

About the gas, I am able to buy from our local (auto) racing supply/engine builders, sunoco brand racing fuels. I mix this higher octane (I believe it is 106) 50/50 with regular pump gas (it is the only-non alcohol readily available and its octane is 85-86).

The race fuel supplier, he has only 3 octane levels, that alcohol is NOT used in, but all of them have lead (if I recall the conversation correctly). Does this matter? :D I do buy the cheaper lower octane version, at about 5 bucks a gallon.

For 8-10 bucks a gallon, I could opt for getting some NO-LEAD VP-Racing fuels available at another engine builder, it is at 112 octane.

I try to spend my money wisely that is all. saving a dollar is good... if it dont come to paying double later...

Ok now on to the oils....

I mix my Castrol TTS, at 80:1 religiously, mainly because readily available, and I notice the price jumped a buck a quart... this is thier selling points...

Castrol TTS (100% SYNTHETIC)

Full synthetic.

Smokeless exhaust emission.

Maximum engine performance at high engine speed and open throttle conditions.

Used by Pro Circuit and Kawasaki teams.

Exceeds JASO FC and proposed ISO-L-EGD.

well, Im just looking for some suggestions, thoughts, and opinions about the gas & for oils. I know the guy who I bought my bike from loves "Rock Oil" I dont know what all products they have yet... I Need a link to them..

thanks...

25% race (110 I think it is) to 75% Amoco white (93)

64 to 1 Maxxima K2 full synthetic (64 to 1 works out on my Ratio rite)

See my pole / daughters school project posted above. Thought about doing it with oil ratio's and jetting etc. but by just varying octane, it should make it a pretty fair comparison without jetting changes.

... this is one of the main reasons that sometimes you find that adding octane improver, will stop a bike knocking and at other times not.

Adding race fuel to low octane pump fuel, is a very good idea, as this will result in a final octane rating, that will be just fine for use in any trials motor.

Adding race fuel to pump gas is effectively doing the same thing as adding octane booster or improver. Your only watering down the race gas adding pump fuel to it, and not truely taking advantage of the properties of a good fuel.

That said, in actual application, the chemistry of some of these octane boosters are in some question and have some odd characteristics with plastic tanks and such as nearly all are designed for automotive applications.
