IF i rev up, then back off more fluids come out. The impler is turning and the fan is also working. could this be a gasket can anyone help ? regards wayne
lowbrow
You need to replace the two rubber 'O' rings that seal the water jacket between the cylinder and cylinder head. When these 'give up' the cooling system is pressurised and gives the symptoms you describe. A fairly easy job; no need to remove the cylinder, just the head. pete_scorpa3
Before you take the motor apart, check that the radiator cap is working ok. If the seal has failed the system will be running at a lower pressure and will boil over.
tonybroad
it can be head gasket or whatever seals the head - gas leaks into the cooling system expanding and pressurising it until the cap can't take it and it starts to come out if you keep the cap on, fit a pipe to your overflow and then put it into a clear bottle with some water in you should see bubbles coming out of the pipe if it is the head blowing hope that helps tony
