chriswms
Winter is closing in. Have been tempted to get a better pair of goggles. Wanting to look after this pair. How do you carry them when thier not on your face. Round the neck is a pain, Pocket contents will scratch them, No rucksack. Top of the helmet? How do you manage? richt
For Enduro I have been using 'Quick Straps' they are alternative straps with self adhesive fittings to put on the sides of your helmet. A stud on one side and velcro on the other, when not using them you can with a single hand wrap them round the back of your helmet. I've never lost any! jsygasgas
Put the strap under your peak and then the actual googles on the back of your helmet they wont go anywhere
pete_scorpa3
When I'm trail riding or in enduro's on the DRZ the goggles sit on the mouth piece of my mx lid. But in LDT's using an open face I use a couple of bits of duct tape either side of the helmet and the goggles simply sit on the top whilst in the sections. chriswms
Thanks for the replies. "quickstrap" Don't really fancy bits stuck on the helmet all year "Gaffer Tape" Don't really fancy sticky residue left on the helmet "Back to front" Now that's an idea ! But it has made me think about a tether string threaded through the vents in the helmet.
hrc1
Use velcro to attach the quickstrap fittings. Can then be used on other helmets. Only thing against QS is USD goggs look odd...
pete_scorpa3
Thanks for the replies. "Gaffer Tape" Don't really fancy sticky residue left on the helmet Here's a tip. The sticky residue comes off really easily if you spray on some furniture polish (like MrSheen) and leave for a minute. Simply wipes off. The old war horse sank into that mud at section seven. Fived it every lap, I just couldn't get it to the ends cards! Lost 20 marks out of 26 there! Plan to use the Scorpa for the next round.
