so this was my first day riding in the expert class, i've been riding for 5 years, and waiting for this moment for all 5, well i rode everything, my points weren't very good, but i was realy happy how i rode, i pushed myself farther then i thought i could

well im still riding the same 97 beta techno 250 as when i started 5 years ago, and im very used to my bike, its the oldest bike in the expert class but thats ok, and at the moment i can't afford a new one, so seeing as i can't buy a new bike im going to get mine into the best shape possible untill i can get a new bike

so....

for starters im going to buy new springs for my fork and shock, im getting all new rear end bearings and bushings and bolts

im going to buy a 38 tooth sprocket cause my bike is geared realy low, and my first gear is absolutely useless and i should be riding more sections in 1st and 2nd, where as im riding them in 2nd and 3rd, im also going to get a non O-ring chain for less rolling resistance, i've got boysen reeds in it, i've also got a 4 piston front brake

does anyone else have any other sugestions, i want to change the jetting to get more snap out of the engine but i don't know anything about jetting

any help would be appreciated

thanks

jesse

Hey Jesse:

Unfortunately I didn't get to see how you made out today, but it sounds like you had fun!You are upgrading the two things that I would think should be first on the list for your bike! I would also look into getting some V-Force Reeds for your bike. Go to the Beta USA website for more info, I can also look into this for you if you need help! Let Ron at Beta USA that we know each other and he will take care of you! :wall:

Cheers, Steve

Jesse:

I would freshen up your top end for sure. Also, de-carbonize your exhaust system, it will feel like a new bike! The V-force reeds are a step above, like the next generation of reed technology! Email Ron at Beta USA and ask for his opinion. Let him know I told you about them, and we are in the same club! He will help you out for sure and can ship any part anytime for your bike!

Cheers, Steve
