cabby
Out on the scorpa today, rear brake was working fine, then suddenly stopped working. Took the lever off made sure the rod was pushing in to the piston, which it was fine, pushed up the pison again with an allan key, was pushing up fine, but still nothing transferring to the rear calliper ??? Any ideas what the problem might be ???
ham2
Sight unseen ,my best guess is that: 1) Without any fluid loss. 2) Presuming the slave pistons push back manually. Then your master cylinder seals have failed 'cos of the cold?? Just a guess.

No fluid loss that I can see, piston pushes back manually, but I've had the bike out in much colder conditions than today and it's been fine, and was fine for at least an hour today ??? cabby
Sorted !! Always best to check the condition of your pads before you start tearing the bike apart Thanks anyway
