sdeane01
As the title suggests i am after thoughts and experiences about what brand of brake pads are the best. Looking for pads that bite so dont care about pad life, i want to stop on a dime and i have heard that pads can make all the difference. any suggestions on disc type, brand or treatment would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks

neo
I think you'd be hard pushed to know who's packaging who's brake pads in this market .... but please let us know what you uncover?...You might find some association with the scooter market and find high performance pads in that area. But if you "want to stop on a dime"... you might want to work on bleeding the hydraulics and/or fitting new seals and/or fitting the new type one piece calipers. I have one bike that I had a heavy duty braided rear hose fitted by one of those hose fitting places. The rear brake on that bike is much better than any other bike I have ridden. But the banjo ends are much larger than the Sherco ones. Which meant the new braided hose had to be passed through the swing-arm first before the banjos ends were crimped on. Best of balance. Yes it is... most people are unaware of that....But it's not a heavy duty line. Best of balance. Neo
copemech
I think that a good "feel" and progression is as important as anything in trials. It seems to me the factory Galfer pads are as good as it gets when dry, a bit lacking when wet. The Braking pads seem to hold up well when wet, yed a bit slower when dry.
