francley40
I'm sure I'm not alone with this problem - and apologies if it's been covered before. The tank on my '03 250 Pro has a small leak which is a pain. The previous owner has tried to repair it with that 'plastic metal' two part epoxy whateveritis stuff. Which hasn't really worked.... I was wondering if anyone has had success using the liquid 'tank seal' products that're on the market? If you have can you tell me what the procedure is, too, please? Many thanks. telecat
Is this at the rear of the tank where the Air box bolts "foul" it. We had that with an 06 tank. I had the tank welded by a local firm who do it in inert gas so the tank does not blow up. The Company is in Leeds and is called Startright. They have a website at www.startright.co.uk
bigfoot
I've got a spare one going very cheap if you want it.
monty_jon
Get it Tig welded Wash it out well several times, and then take it to local (friendly) aluminium fabricators Ive just had tank repaired the same way for a tenner! It does ruin the paint finish though Edited January 24, 2011 by Monty_Jon
francley40
Thanks, Bigfoot. How much would you like for the tank and any idea of postage cost? Assuming it has stickers on what model is it from?
