TY 250 R Mono - Source Coil Resistance

Dear members - any advice on this topic would be much appreciated

I'm getting an inconsistent and weak spark on my TY250 R Mono. The manual says that the Source Coil Resistance should be 240 Ohms (+ or - 10%)

I'm getting a reading of 177 Ohms which is outwith the tolerance level

1. Does a reading of 177 Ohms indicate a problem significant enough to impact starting / running

2. If yes - is replacing the source coil the only solution or is possible that I could repair it

Have removed the flywheel cover and there is evidence of dampness and corrosion - so have dried it out and sprayed with WD40. Anything else I should check ? (All other resistance readings are fine)

Thanks in anticipation
