monty-python
Is it just me or does no one else object to paying THREE TIMES as much as our English counterparts for a licence (
idmcc_sec
ACU riders pay a levy at every trial (as BJ stated). So instead of doing that, the SACU charges the full Edited December 27, 2003 by idmcc_sec
monty-python
Firstly , i must admit ignorance about the levy the English pay, but if ours is added to the licence price, then why does the club also have to pay a levy at the end of the year, for every rider?? Or do the English clubs pay this as well?? I'm not denying that trials is the cheapest form of motorsport ( a friend does race car sprinting and hillclimbs and pays
idmcc_sec
then why does the club also have to pay a levy at the end of the year, for every rider?? I should have phrased it better, it's not a levy but a capitation fee. English trials riders do not buy a licence but a registration card then pay levies at each trial. Other ACU licence holders pay
rabie
from a southerner (south of the Thames ) point of view many are envious of your system ..... you pay once and its done, a regular trails rider is paying something like
overthehill
I fully agree that trials riding is one of the (if not THE) cheapest motorsports that you can do - however I do not agree with the licencing system in Scotland - my mate has two sons and he has just had to fork out
