highland lassie
Are this years route maps out yet ? I'm up for 5 days and want to sort out where I want to get to They don't get published until mid-April I'm afraid - there's a huge amount of work involved in planning, then in getting approval from all the landowners and various companies that own the ground. Once a draft route is in place with all the permissions we need we then have to get approval for all the forestry and road coverage. Finally we have to get approval from all the relevant police Chief Constables and the RSAC. In all that's 9-10 months of work and we don't know the final route ourselves until late March. Unfortunately we have had problems in recent years with riders taking it upon themselves to check out the route in advance of the trial, so in order to do what we can to prevent unauthorised riding on our landowners' private ground we hold off until the middle of April for publication. You'll still have a good fortnight to plan your break though!

Thanks for the reply My problem is I'm sat offshore bored out my skull looking for things to do on a night, I was wanting to know the routes so I could buy OS maps so I could plan some good walks around the trial, I reckon I would have needed 4 OS maps to cover 2010 routes. First time up the 6 day this year just hope the weathers good, last time in Fort William on a bike it peed down.

ishy
Poor bugger has lost the flag bag again, I should have gone it looks like a dry year this year Gizza, well going by that photo it does, you can see the whole bike, in a wet year you can only see the bars.
