neo
I have the standard arrangement of overflow tube off my fuel cap but I'm finding I get dribbles and drips onto the front mudguard (back end) riding down big steps or worst still stopping on those big steps. I want to find a way of not having all that fuel spilling over the bike or better still not having any spill at all. I've seen those fuel valves that go on a stubby tube above the cap but do they really work? Nothing would be worse than getting fuel all over my tank deals Or can I do anything cleaver with a longer fuel cap tube (routes and loops etc..)? .... Gas Gas used to have an in-line valve (air in only) can I get one of them from somewhere? Best of balance. Neo

copemech
In answer to your original question, I have run one of them little ally vent thingies on the cap for years without problem, other than I lost one at one point. Irony of all that is the fact I actually found it on the trail to begin with back in about '05!!!! And it was anodized blue! Could not resist. The very short hose setion that holds them needs to be very tight fitting. I have just never liked the hose up there, plastic cap plug seals the hole in top frame nicely. Your mileage may vary!!!!!! neo
I have just never liked the hose up there It's funny but I'm not keen on the stubby bit (even when it is the right colour). Just looks out of place to me so I much prefer the right coloured tube Everyone to their own Best of balance. Neo
