jonabonospen
Just got my 2006 Beta 250cc Rev 3 today and noticed the exhaust silencer is worn through slightly on the inside (wheel side) where the tyre must have rubbed against it. What can I do to repair this? Or where do I get a new silencer from? I have seen things about this being a common problem and solutions being things like bending out the mounting bracket or packing it out with washers and having looked at mine it is now packed out with 3 or 4 washers, but I may try bend the bracket out a little further. Just want to know if there is a way I can correct the damage already caused.
betarick
Yep they do tend to catch wheel check mount bracket is ok! Take mudguard off and make sure it aint cracked! I had a couple snap on me on my old 06 rev3. You can get new bracket and silencer from john lampkins beta importers silsden! I dont think silencer is cheap though. jon v8
This was one of the problems I had with my Rev3,all I did was Tig weld a patch over it to let that take the wear.I just accepted that it was a bit flimsy and very close to the wheel. betabonkers
The more washers you put on the more it pushes the bottom of silencer in to the wheel.
