andy.t
Most of the public pumps( if not all) now contain ethanol and is going to get worse as they increase the percentage, one of the biggest problems is if you have a fiberglass tank as it eats into it, have a look at some of the problems these guys are having CLICK HERE
zarkoff
well thanks everybody for all your input it looks like a very complicated issue, obviously fuel is a lot different than what it was back in the 70's, my bike seems to wants a richer set up than original .also where you get you fuel from i think makes a difference IE supermarkets. I'm not sure what the problem is but it is something the aviation authority has picked up on. So I have stopped using in all my 2 stroke bikes. minislim
Sounds like your floats been penetrated with fuel like mine did the other week. Amal now do a black float thats the same spec as the MOD bike carbs which are designed to withstand any dodgy type of fuel. i've replaced them all with these now as i dont want another event spoiling with carb trouble.
