Hi

Can anyone help me please.

i've just bought a gas gas txt pro 280 2006 and i could do with a few questions answering.

1>>> do these bikes make a rattling sound as a rule? i hear they do.. this one i have bought seems to be more clutch related as when u pull the clutch in, it disappears then makes the odd rattling noise... is this the clutch sticking? if so how do i stop this from happening?

i dont believe its a little end bearing noise as it would be constant, wouldnt it??

2>>> i have had the bike standing upright and i cant seem to see any oil in the glass window? should i be seeing any? is the fact that im not seeing any, anything to do with the rattling noise?

hope someone can shed light on this. it will be much appreciated.

thanks

johnny

The rattle is completely normal for a gasgas, as long as it disapears when the clutch is pulled.

Yes you should see oil in the window when the bike is held completely straight up right. I'd drop what ever is in the bike now and refill, ATF seems a popular choice.
