micm
I did hear that the actual lump of stone that Gordon dabbed on was taken back to Surrey by tuning wizard, the late Reg May, and located in his back garden- on a rockery!

laird387
Hi micm, This was one prank Reg was not guilty of - although he was in the van that took it back to Surrey. The 'one-dab' rock featured in Bert Thorn's rockery - the Comerfords Sales Director. Reg did, however, have more than his fair share of 'pranks' to his name.......... Enjoy. laird387
Hi, albert, 2nd spot in 1961 was Sammy Miller on 5, then two in third spot, Roy Peplow and Ray Sayer both on 17. Sammy dropped three on Tuesday then a couple more on the Friday. Gordon Jackson dropped his dab at the top of Grey Mare's Ridge and only four riders cleaned the whole of Grey Mare's that day - they were Ray Sayer, Bill Martin, Eric Adcock and Arthur Lampkin. Does that answer your query? Cheers. Edited February 9, 2014 by laird387
