The Peak Classic Trials Club held round 2 of their club championship at Bracken Rocks near Holloway, Matlock, Derbyshire last Sunday 20 March and what a difference to the muddy wastes of the previous round at Dudwood Farm. Bracken Rocks was in perfect condition having dried out over the past few days to leave the 41 riders a 4 lap course of 11 sections mostly comprising of grippy rocks and tree roots at this ever popular venue.

A lot of the familiar faces were missing as the event clashed with the Bemrose and Red Rose Trials however the regulars that did make it had an enjoyable if challenging day with no one having a clean sheet. The nearest to zero marks lost was evergreen Mike Ransom on his faithful Francis Barnett riding the Clubman route for a change with a loss of just the one mark. Well done Mike and nice to see you out at one of our events again.

Excellent rides were also had by Michael Atmore on his Trifield who won the Intermediate British Bike class for a loss of 6 marks. 6 marks was also the score for Andrew Land riding his Yamaha TY250 who secured the win in the Expert Pre95 Air Cooled Monoshock class. Peter Carson rode his Triumph Cub to an outstanding result winning the expert British Bike class losing only 14 marks which included two cleans on by far the most challenging section the Experts had to negotiate all day namely section 7 a rocky climb out of a small stream over large boulders made even more difficult by the mud brought up by competitors tyres from the stream. Superb performance Peter.

Other notable wins came the way for Peter
