Im only asking as i have a TY175 with a dented steel tank and i need to get another so IF a TY250 is alloy and IF it fits and IF its lighter then this could be a good idea? Am I wrong? totalshell Posted April 5, 2011 Report Share Posted April 5, 2011 (edited) some 250 tanks were alloy, they should fit a 175, why not fit a ty80 tank.. much smaller and holds enough for a trial. rock shocks dont have a locking ring and neither do any of the others i think. I bought a TY175 with no tank - and if you have watched Ebay you know the 175 tank must be made of gold. The TY250 tank doesn't really come close to fitting (I tried). The TY80 tank does fit fairly well but, just my opinion, it looks silly. I ended up putting a DT tank on the bike. Slightly different shape but a perfect fit.
