canada280i
I was having starting issues as well on map 12, received an e-mail from my dealer that he had received map 13, a quick drive and five minutes to upload 13 and the issue was fixed. I will say there seems to be a bit of a technique especially when starting from cold but it does seem to start after a couple of soft prods and then a good one from the top of the kickstart arc. I think the bike rocks, I am very happy with it, and the dealer service.
trialtrial
I have to do the same with my Beta and my Gas Gas when cold: couple of soft turn overs, then kick it. When warm they go first kick, sometime Beta need me to pull the hot start though. So if thats the same with the TR280i, no biggy. Can this remapping be done at home shop or is it a special dealer thing?
canada280i
No hot start or choke, Fuel Injection takes care of it. Remapping is a dealer thing
scorpatic
Anyone else noticed that there is a lot of fine metal in the oil? I have changed the oil 7 maybe eight times since new, its at 35 hours now and every time it is black.
markjw
Yes, have done a fair few oil changes on different OSSA's, mine as well, and all the same - dark oil, particles on the oil plug and particles in the oil
scorpatic
Phew. Normal then. As my dealer told me.
