stephen1967
Just been out on my rev3 today and noticed a loss of power going up steep hills. Before I could go up in 3rd .now it just manages to go up in 4th. I have just had the silencer re-packed at a dealer,so wonder if the mid section is bunged up as the re-packing hasn`t quietened the bike down much. The bike is an 05 model so I was wondering if it might need a re-bore. Thanks for any good advice.

There seems to be a distinct loss of power on steep inclines.Have also noticed going down long declines when I shut off the throttle there is a popping sound coming from the exhaust. dgshannon
There seems to be a distinct loss of power on steep inclines. What he means by reverse logic is that when using a taller gear, such as 4th, it would require MORE power, than climbing the same incline in 3rd. If you were "losing" power, logic says you would now have to shift down to 2nd gear in order to get up things you were previously able to climb in 3rd.
