jerry27 Posted May 7, 2011 Report Share Posted May 7, 2011 Have worked my way through most combinations and much depends on your riding tyle and ability. A 9T front and 41T rear is about as low a gear ratio as I would recommend....Allows full use of 1st , 2nd and 3rd gear and suits most clubman class trials, particularly if tight turns are involved! A 9T front 39T rear works well if you are doing any road trials / riding mainly stream sections...You use 1st for virtually everything...I use this for the Sammy Miller rounds / IOM 2 DAY.
