whackywoody
Hi, we have been lucky enough to get an entry for the Manx 2 day trial and its our first time riding!!! The return ferry (Douglas - Liverpool) on the Sunday (only one) departs at 15:30 does anybody know if we will finish the trial in time to catch this ferry or do you think we will be better off waiting for the monday return ferry. Thanks in advance for any of the responses.
ausy300pro
No chance of catching that ferry, better to stay Sunday night and go to prizegiving, get the Monday afternoon ferry back and watch first race of Manx grand prix on Monday morning, makes for a top stay in the island. Thanks in advance for any of the responses. If it departs at 15:30 your last check in will be 45 min before that so 2:45pm. Don't know when you will finish the trial but I have been in the past refused boarding because I was 5 min after the latest check in time. Worth bearing in mind and most tickets are not free to change dates etc so it might be an expensive gamble.
furse
Not much chance of making the ferry unless your No. 200+ and one of the main parts of the Manx is the presentation and social side. Book the Monday ferry and they will let you go on reserve for any earlier ferry.

manx2day
Unless you set off first on sunday morning and fly around in record time there will be no way you'll catch that boat on the sunday afternoon. Much better to get the monday boat back and like ausy300pro says, watch the MGP race on monday morning, it is a bank holiday after all!
