I'm tending to lean towards machine failure, as the Dougie we all know wouldn't breakdown on Day 6. He'd carry the bike through the sections. gjbiker Posted May 7, 2011 Report Share Posted May 7, 2011 Section 4 at Fersit on Thursday, took a 5 and the injury. I was watching section 5 when he limped in with a punctured rear tyre to add to his misery. He looked as if he was in a lot of pain then, so I was surprised he rode Friday to be honest? Fair play to the man to keep going, apparently he spent most of Friday night at the hospital where I believe he was advised to call it quits.
