eddyp
Ive just replaced the clutch plates on my 315r with the Apico friction and dimpled metals, replaced the oil with PJ1 ultra light. The bike now has a clutch and goes into neutral easily. I have notived that it is a lot louder than the old clutch and when you pull the clutch lever in the clutch sounds as though its rubbing against the clutch casing, let go of the clutch lever again and no noise. I put my hand on the casing and pulled the lever in and im sure I could feel it working/ rubbing. I nipped the springs up OK so Im wondering if the new clutch is slightly thicker than the old one? Any thoughts
manofsteele
Sorry, no clue here... However, I would be interested to know how your clutch performs over a few rides as I want to overhaul mine and don't know what brands are worth buying. eddyp
Well i had the clutch cover off today and found that clutch was rubbing the casing. Checked all the plates were located properly in the basket and pulled the lever in to check operation and all was ok. Put the casing back on and started her up only to find it rubbing again...not happy
