zaccyboy
Hi iv got a beta rev 3 on a 2003, when I put her under load ie up hill climbs the engine knocks, could this be a fuel grade prob or timing? I use unleaded but Iv read that Beta's like a higher grade fuel to run better, any experiences on this? Re timing any views on this? Thanks

billyt
Does the bike knock when you let off or back off the throttle or when you twist the throttle on? BillyT Edited June 9, 2011 by BillyT
totalshell
my 2003 rev 3 will only run knock free on super unleaded ( doesnt matter what brand) i run PJ1 silver fire at 70.
nzralphy
Lift the needle a notch. Clean the carbon from the head and piston top. It helps but doesn't eliminate it.
zaccyboy
Billy T - The knocks/clanking is when throttle open, I also wondered if the prob was merely the engine was at its max!!!! I will try higher grade fuel at weekend and keep u posted with the results thanks guys
