guyfromthesticks Posted June 17, 2011 Report Share Posted June 17, 2011 Hi Folks finally got round to registering bought a rev3 6 weeks ago bike looked great 07 model but hasn't lived up to what i was expecting, clutch very poor did the Dan Williams fix works much better won't last forever really needs new friction plates, carb pouring out fuel while on stand did the Bill Trainer fix, float heights tang adjustments bla bla bla I was begining to wonder had I bought an old Villiers or some other old British bike how did the Italians survive the Jap revolution in the 60's anyway I'll keep trying till I get it right does anyone know should I change fuel air settings now that i've done the float height adjustments. Great site by the way loads of good info. Welcome! You might do well to get this up on the Beta threads and get more replies. Need to know your jet sizes as well. dan williams Posted June 19, 2011 Report Share Posted June 19, 2011 Nippering a hole in the vent tubes above the level of the float bowl cures the fuel peeing problem. Float level and travel adjust fixes the downhill stall (well improves it at least) and the burble on drops. I love my V-Force carbon reeds but the Boyesens are supposed to be very good as well. Really adds to the low speed grunt. For the Mikuni the first jetting change most common around here is to go to a 27.5 pilot jet. Welcome to Beta nation.
